I know that this has nothing to do with Italy or traveling in Europe, but I went to the coolest exhibit at the DMA this afternoon. It was called "The Fashion World of Jean Paul Gaultier. From the Sidewalk to the Catwalk" The entire exhibit displayed all these collections of clothes and sketches that Gaultier designed. He made a lot of pieces inspired by Paris, but most people know him from designing clothes for Lady Gaga and Madonna. Remember the cone boobs on a corset? There was also this camo dress Sarah Jessica Parker wore to the MTV Music awards in 2000.

Not sure if you can see it in the picture, but each mannequin had faces on them. The faces were projected by a projector that were in those white ceiling lamps. The models would blink their eyes, sing and talk. The third model in from the left was Jean Paul Gaultier. As you entered the exhibit he would welcome you (kinda like Disney World) and explain his style and how all of his clothing was gender neutral for the most part. One of the rooms had an actual moving catwalk. There were 15 mannequins that rotated around it, so it was cool to see the front and the back of the clothes. This exhibit ends February 12th, so if you are bored in Dallas this month I would recommend going to it!

This was the first room you walked into.
